Machine Operator/Material Handler

MACHINE OPERATOR | ASSEMBLER | SHOP SUPPORT

KC Welding is looking for a hard-working, dependable individual to join our team as a machine operator, assembler and shop worker. The ideal candidate will have some experience in a manufacturing setting and won’t mind getting their hands dirty. This person’s primary duties will encompass operating equipment, working with heavy steel products, and preparing products for shipment. JOB FUNCTIONS

- Work on the shop floor as a machine operator, including loading material into rolls machines, cutting, drilling and torching rolled steel rings

- Read and interpret blueprints

- Use gages and measuring instruments to ensure manufactured parts are within stated tolerance

- Handle material safely by operating forklifts and overhead cranes

- Maintain a clean and safe work environment for yourself and coworkers

- Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions

- Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner consistent with the Company’s objectives

JOB REQUIREMENTS

- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment

- Experience with material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts and overhead hoists

- Ability to lift 50 lbs

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

KC Welding offers competitive compensation and benefits, including:

- 4 day work week. KC Welding runs production 10 hours per day, Monday thru Thursday

- Health insurance, retirement plan, vacation, and one-week paid facility shutdown in December

ABOUT KC WELDING: KC Welding, founded in 1946, primarily manufactures alignment clamps for the pipeline industry. These products are used to line up two sections of pipe so that welders can join pipe together during construction. KC Welding also manufactures a welding gun and various other parts as a contract manufacturer for the oil and gas industry. KC has a full paint booth and robotic weld capabilities. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
