BOOK KEEPER/Assistant Controller
We are in search of a Bookkeeper or Assistant Controller with a minimum of 5 years full cycle accounting experience. This includes A/R, A/P, General journal entries, AIA payment applications, bank reconciliations, and excellent organization skills. This role requires constant communication with the GC for AIA submittals, lien waivers and change orders. This role will also be responsible for requesting draws from the bank and maintaining communication with the lender for any delays or issues with payment submittals. Also, this role requires that files for each property, in accordance with AIA processes, are maintained. Applicant must have experience in the Construction Industry
Experience Requirements:
- A/P - 5 years minimum
- A/R - 5 years minimum
- AIA payment application - 3 years minimum
- EOY close - 3 years minimum
- Cash Flow - 3 years minimum
- Sales & Use Tax reporting
- Knowledgeable in Supply Chain and Manufacturing - 3 years minimum
- Manage production sales orders/pick tickets workflow as related to Accounting - 3 years minimum
- Intercompany transactions - 3 years minimum
Qualifications: Ability to think outside of the box with a sense of urgency. Ability to learn quickly and maintain a high-performance level in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities. Have an ability to multitask, process emails, and prioritize tasks in a timely fashion with little-to-no supervision. Obsessively organized, efficient, and have superb attention to detail. Responsibilities - An eye for detail, Establishing different accounts, Maintaining records of financial transactions by posting and verifying. Developing systems to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts. Maintaining subsidiary accounts by posting, verifying and allocating transactions. Reconciling entries to balance subsidiary accounts. Maintaining a balanced general ledger. Preparing financial reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing accounting for information. Ensuring compliance with federal, state and local legal requirements. Advising management on compliance needs. Assisting in financial activities such as running payroll and generating invoices Duties to include Payroll, Administrative Support, Operational Support, and all other duties as assigned by the President and Operations Manager.
