Description / Scope / Mission
Manufacture a high quality intermediate and bulk product using process equipment available in a safe and cost-effective manner.
Key Responsibilities/ Accountabilities
Understand the operation, methods, and all techniques used in the manufacture of chemical products.
Sanitize and assist in preparations for product making.
Pass forklift certification.
Wear provided safety equipment, i.e., dust mask, respirators, gloves, etc., when handling raw materials in areas subject to odors, fumes and high temperatures.
Follow established safety procedures and exercise good safety practices to prevent accidents to self, others and facilities.
Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly fashion.
Communicate promptly and openly to Compounding Leads all operational and personnel problems.
Execute special assignments as directed by the Compounding Leads.
Handle all chemicals in accordance with State and local regulations.

Education / Certification / Qualifications / Experience
High school diploma. HSED or equivalent experience.
Basic math skills.
Able to read, write and speak English language at the high school (12th Grade) level.
Experience:
Previous manufacturing experience strongly preferred.

None.

Forklift truck 1/3 to 2/3 of the time.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PPE REQUIRED:
Work near moving mechanical parts and exposure to vibration up to 1/3 of the time.
Exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals; and exposure to extreme heat (non-weather) 1/3 to 2/3 of the time.
Exposure to wet, humid conditions (non-weather) 2/3 and more of the time.
Exposure to loud noise.
Gloves, face shields, aprons, goggles and steel-toed boots required.
