The Production Control and Planning Coordinator is responsible for monitoring, updating and the control of process orders so the company can meet their production and financial goals and objectives.
The ideal candidate will have:
- High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent degree required; Bachelors Degree in Business Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain or related field is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably focused on production planning and execution.

This position is responsible for:
- Provides daily information to all planning and scheduling staff, including open process orders and materials consumption shortages.
- Serves as primary point of contact for the analysis and management of process orders including reconciliation of material consumption, analysis of differences and technical closure.
- Ensures planning parameters for materials are updated and accurate regarding lead times, costs, and MOQs to facilitate accurate planning for internal production and external procurement materials.
- Establishes purchasing evaluation for reduction of non-performing inventory.
- Performs planning functions for production scheduling.
- Works with Scheduling team to allocate jobs appropriately to line resources; communicates challenges immediately and reviews with Operations.
- Help with the coordination of firm planning schedule weekly to accurately forecast capacity needs to appropriately inform Operations of spikes in resource utilization.
- Maintains internal review of manufacturing recipes and versions to ensure that capacity is captured appropriately and communicated correctly to the customer; ensures that planners provide appropriate capacity analysis to all customers, indicating opportunities for better efficiencies and challenges to requested delivery dates.
- Creates and delivers requested or needed tracking tools to improve stock accuracy and housekeeping of process orders.
