Summary:
The Production Material Control Specialist is responsible for proactively addressing production packet issues and errors before submitting to Quality Systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Submits production packets to Quality Systems; resolves discrepancies prior to submission and ensures accurate and timely submission of packed the first time.
Ensures load log and SAP product quantities are accurately reflected in both places; identifies inconsistencies and troubleshoots and corrects according to established standards.
Works with site leadership to identify and train employees to perform Gatekeeper duties to ensure products are scanned and load log is documented accurately.
Coordinates pending or scheduled reward; ensures pallets to be re-worked are properly identified and staged; performs SAP transitions according to established guidelines and coordinates with appropriate departments regarding rework schedule and completes all required paperwork and documentation.
Identifies opportunities for process improvement and provides recommendations.
Creates and modifies SOPs documents for Gate Errors as needed to train employees to document and execute processes as needed; works with leaders on training plans and creates documents to support training and on-going support.
Communicates with departments regarding scrap units and proper disposal according to established guidelines.
Manages all rework from Purchase Order generation to the warehouse; provides training and support to warehouse personnel in resolving issues that are generated in the Warehouse.
Completes SOPs, Work Instructions, training documents, and other paperwork according to established company policy.
Maintains confidentiality of customer information, production information and other sensitive and confidential information.
Exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works overtime as needed due to workplace demands. Performs other related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma, G.E.D or equivalent degree required.
Minimum of three (3) years previous experience in working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment in a clerical or administrative support role, with previous SAP experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of: FDA Good Manufacturing Practices and OSHA Safety Requirements: SAP.
Skill in: identifying errors in paperwork and working quickly and efficiently to resolve.
Ability to: read, comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions including Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions; wear required PPE as needed (list any specific PPE for the role); work as part of a team; develop and maintain good working relationships; be detail oriented; operate a computer; communicate effectively with others in a professional manner, both verbally and in writing; train others.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds manually.
A climate-controlled office environment; the noise level is usually moderately quiet
Must be able to sit for long periods of time in front of a computer, stand, walk, use hands to handle and feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, crouch, talk, hear, push and pull
Exposure to occasional movement of motorized equipment throughout the facility, including electric pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.
