Position Summary: This position is responsible the strategic direction, oversite and development of our core Supply Chain Team including Customer Service / Account Management, Planning, Purchasing, New Business Execution, Costing and Quoting.As a senior member of the Acupac management team, the Director of Supply Chain will be responsible for partnering with other senior leaders to develop and implement short-term and long-term strategic plans, key performance metrics and initiatives that support our company’s commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement.Accountable for:- Supply chain optimization- Customer Service /Account Management, Planning, Procurement, Inventory Management, New Business Execution, Costing and Quoting-Improving Processes, Efficiencies, Service levels, Inventory levels- Creating a culture of collaboration that embraces the kdc-one vision and values- Partnering for successful integration of lean principlesResponsibilities:Manage end-to-end Customer Service, Account Management, Planning, Procurement, Inventory Management, and New Business Execution, Costing and QuotingDrive continuous improvement by utilizing KPI’s and key metrics throughout all areas of responsibility. Collaborate across all departments to ensure top level performance against customer scorecards and other performance measures. Establish standards and monitor the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identify and qualify new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.Working closely with Acupac’s Operations and Sales Teams, evaluate capacity models and develop production strategies to meet operational goals and KPI’s in on time delivery, schedule execution, inventory optimization, and cost control. Work with Sales, R&D, Operations, suppliers, and key customer contacts to assure timely execution of new product programs and launches. Develop and implement best practices, processes, and policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain utilizing Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles. Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and systems to reduce inventory, optimize processes, and implement solutions to support efficient operations, product life cycle, and business growth. In coordination with the General Managers, provide guidance for profitability based on product costing, mix, and schedule efficiency Build and maintain relationships that guide, motivate, and reinforce positive performance Work collaboratively with cross-functional departments in the successful achievement of company goals and vision. Select, train, mentor and develop Supply Chain, Customer Service, Account Management, New Business Execution and Costing/Quoting Teams to achieve department and company objectives while creating an empowered and accountable team culture. Provide timely feedback and mentoring style performance management for team, including KPIs, SMART goals, regular feedback, annual reviews, etc.Responsible for the preparation of departmental budgets, tracking and accomplishment of business operations.Lead development of project plans, allocate resources, identify potential issues/risks, and develop contingency plans.Other duties as assignedEducation and Experience Required: ·Bachelor’s Degree required: Engineering, Supply Chain, Science discipline or Business Administration, MBA preferred. ·Minimum of 8 years of management experience, with 5 years at a senior management level ·Supply Chain experience required with track record in inventory management, service and cost improvement and S&OP. ·Seasoned experience in all facets of supply chain ·Systems experience and WMS experience ·Experience in either Personal Care or OTC Pharmaceutical high volume/SKU complexity/line changeover, multi-shift manufacturing environment. ·Solid cost accounting/finance and business acumen with P&L experience, quantitative and performance measurement analysis.·Six Sigma Green Belt a plusSkills Required: ·Demonstrated ability to develop and implement operational strategies that align with company objectives ·Strong knowledge and experience with ERP systems, MRP, Excel, project management software and other computer based analytical tools. ·Strong oral, written and organizational skills ·Strong people and leadership skills. Proven ability to develop high-performance, empowered teams. ·Enthusiastic, energetic, self-motivated and organized individual.
