The Sales Engineer assists the sales team in providing functional knowledge of Keap and other product solutions. This position’s objective is to help small businesses succeed by enabling the sales team to bring more customers into the Keap family at higher-than-average revenue levels by acting as a thought partner, solution architect, and technical expert.
The Work:
- Answer pre-sales and technical questions via email, conference calls, and occasional on-site sales meetings; occasionally assisting sales reps to mitigate potential cancel requests by resolving customer concerns
- Design and present targeted solutions based on explicitly and implicitly stated customer requirements, setting clear expectations for customers with more complex technical needs
- Create and maintain demo environments used for product presentations in a 1-to-1 or 1-to-many format
- Increase revenues (MRR & ASR) by maintaining higher average sales prices, usually via project scoping conversations for more complex Kickstarts (e.g., Professional Services)
- Own your ongoing product education, ensuring you're up to date on all current software releases/features, with special attention paid to Marketplace app integrations
Qualifications:
- Detailed knowledge of Keap’s product line as well as third-party integrations in order to design and communicate solutions for customers’ business problems
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
- Be a self-starter capable of self-motivation
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance environment that at times keeps non-traditional working hours
- Strong aptitude for understanding technical aspects of Keap and related products
- Ability to use a consultative approach to interact with technical and non-technical business owners
- Enjoyment for solving problems & creating a vision that serves both the customer & the sales process
- A highly motivated, entrepreneurial individual
- Passionate about solving problems for small businesses with a keen understanding of how they operate & what they care about

Preferred Education and Experience:
- 3 years of experience in technology, engineering, IT or similar
- Strong knowledge of Keap products
- Understanding of sales process
- Strong presentation skills
- Demonstrates resilience and the aptitude to drive results
- Strong customer focus with the ability to quickly instill trust
- Exhibits strong business insights
- Available for travel up to 20%
- Experience working with small businesses or have a small business background
