Responsibilities:
- Handling inbound/outbound communications with commercial debtors (calls, emails, texts, etc.)
- Communicating & negotiating payments on behalf of our clients
- Analyzing basic financial statements and supporting documents
- Maintaining a professional demeanor while compliantly following rules & regulations
- Updating notes and status of accounts based on conversations
- Skip tracing for information to establish consistent communication
Required:
- Ability to work quickly & efficiently
- Basic computer & technological skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of basic business terminology & concepts
- Problem solving
- Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel
- Strong conversational skills, especially via telephone
- 2 years of debt collection experience (commercial preferred)
Preferred
- Experience in team environments
- Self-motivated with a proven track record of taking the initiative to drive process improvement and performance.
- Ability to function well in multiple reporting/supporting relationships.
- Strong attention to detail
- Willingly demonstrates a hands-on approach – able to get into the details and help complete daily processes, if needed
