What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barback position at Keiser Golf?
Position Summary:
Sets and cleans eating area tables before, during, and after meal service. Cleans bar and equipment, and replenishes bar supplies such as liquor, beer, wine, fruit, ice, and dishes. Assist bartender in maintaining bar set up, stocking, and cleanliness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Stocks bar with supplies and keep work area and coolers/storage clean and organized.
- Assists in opening and closing duties. Setup, breakdown, making garnishes and mixes.
- Removes soiled dishes, glassware, and silverware from the bar; brings to dishwashing area.
- Washes bar glassware using glasswasher.
- Polishes glassware and stores it in necessary locations.
- Maintains a clean bar top and back bar area. Dusts bottles, cleans shelves, and back bar.
- Dusts bar chairs before and after meals.
- Cleans the floors and equipment in the bar areas.
- Collects trash and empty bottles from bar and other specified places.
- Refills ice as needed.
- Assists bartender in their tasks including changing kegs, stocking, and ongoing education.
- Accomplishes daily and weekly side work tasks.
- May act as Room Service Attendant to deliver orders to guest rooms with Company vehicle.
- Other duties as needed including helping to run food, bussing, and resetting tables.
Qualifications:
- Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision; work flexible hours as required including nights/weekends.
- Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations.
- Oregon Food Handlers Card
- Oregon Liquor Control Commission permit
- Valid Oregon Driver’s License
- Lift up to 30 lbs occasionally, 20 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs constantly
- Ability to work flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Working Conditions:
Work hours may include days and evenings on weekdays and weekends. Work primarily indoors in a restaurant/lounge environment, with some outdoor work involving patio, pool, and on-course service. Will be exposed to sharp utensils, extremely hot stoves and grills, sharp and rapid equipment movements, hot food, potentially dangerous chemicals and solvents on a daily basis. May be exposed, from time to time, to inclement weather, potentially dangerous pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, equipment movement hazards, and misdirected golf balls. Injury may result as a result of exposure to the above if safety policies and practices are not properly followed at all times.
