Job Summary
Kelevate in West Hollywood is a comprehensive mental health center, providing medical/psychiatric and psychotherapy/psychological services to those in need. We are in a growth phase as a result of our former practice named Ketamine Therapy LA, which in the last 5 years has evolved into a comprehensive mental health services hub now known as Kelevate.
We are celebrating this success by looking to hire one stellar candidate for the position of a Medical/Administrative Assistant who is willing to grow with our new, comprehensive medical practice model. You will be working together with our providers in the provision of care for our psychiatric, psychological and ketamine infusion services. You will need both medical as well as administrative assisting skills, in order to thrive in this position and successfully align with our medical practice goals. We are looking for an energetic, empathetic problem solver who at times can wear many hats and efficiently multitask, in order to meet the needs of our rapidly growing company.
Join our team at Kelevate Ketamine Infusion Centers and you will work with an A team including Dr. Sirak Darbinian, one of America's original ketamine providers, in order to integrate comprehensive mental health services with novel therapeutics and spearhead the growth of a new era in mental health. Also, as a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for overseeing the administration of ketamine treatments under the supervision of an industry-leading psychiatric provider.
Applicants must be adaptable and willing to adjust to changes in workflow to benefit both staff and patient experiences. We are looking for someone who is passionate about mental health and dedicated to creating positive and unforgettable patient experiences.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and schedule patient appointments and manage the calendar.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to treatment protocols.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers for comprehensive patient care.
- Manage inventory of supplies and medications.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Integration of systems and protocols including payment, insurance and certifications coordination.
- Provide patient support before, during, and after treatments.
- Prepare treatment rooms for each session and sanitize all necessary equipment
- Assist with patient intake and documentation.
- Provide post-treatment instructions.
- Make patients comfortable and educate them about their treatment.
- Monitor patient vitals and experience throughout treatment.
- Check patient vitals at requested intervals.
- Apply empathy and compassion to support patients in their mental health journey.
- Administer provided questionnaires to assess patient success.
- Gather information for the provider on patient experiences and update medical charts accordingly.
Qualifications
- 2 or more years of medical office/hospital experience
- Medical Assistant certification
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
- Proficiency in medical terminology
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance
- CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
- Phlebotomy and IV catheter placement skills are a must
- Experience in mental health settings (preferred)
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong team player
