Grow with us as an Associate Manager, Category Management on the Target Team. We are looking for top talent in the Minneapolis, MN area. As an Associate Manager of Category Management, you will be a part of a dynamic and diverse minded team focused on providing assortment and shelving insights across multiple snacking categories at Target. By executing category strategies across all or multiple categories, in alignment with customer priorities, you will help Kellanova become an indispensable partner to the customer. You will also be responsible for proactively initiating Category Management activities, developing innovative solutions based on consumer insights and account knowledge to drive goals and objectives, and building the customer relationship through customer service and best in class insight delivery.
HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Advancing Category Initiatives – You will support the creation and commercialization of category strategies. This will include shelving and assortment initiatives related to achieving both the Target Merchandising Team & Kellanova’s objectives. Performing Business Analytics – Proactively uncover opportunities through tracking robust analytics of the category, consumer, shopper, market, and customer information. From your findings, you will develop fact-based recommendations and presentations. Executing Planogram Process – Execute planogram building across multiple categories. Collaborating with the broader Target Category Management team you will implement cross-category insights and test initiatives, assemble walkthrough presentations and provide supporting documentation. Project Management – Your project management skills will be key in leading and supporting customer specific initiatives designed to deliver category growth. Customer Interaction – You will provide objective category reviews that strive to achieve mutually beneficial sales and market share goals. You will work to build relationships with the Target buying team for Front-end and Seasonal.
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS
High school diploma or GED High-level analytical capability High proficiency using syndicated data (such as Nielsen or IRI), loyalty card data and shopper panel metrics Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills Experience in JDA space planning software Assimilating and interpreting data from multiple disparate data sources into concise, action-oriented recommendations Experience communicating complex and detailed information to multiple individuals and audiences with differing knowledge levels Excellent presentation, time management, organizational and interpersonal skills Strong leadership, decision making capability and a proven track record of success
