We are looking for a dynamic and skilled Systems Support Specialist join our IT team. In this diverse role, you will not only help manage and maintain our company's computer systems, focusing on Linux and Windows systems, but also provide advanced support to staff and clients as needed. This position will share in the responsibility of off-hour maintenance tasks, requiring flexibility in your work schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers and provide support for Windows-based systems.
Provide advanced Tier 3 level helpdesk support, resolving complex issues and escalating them when necessary.
Monitor system performance and proactively troubleshoot issues.
Enhance and ensure the security and efficiency of IT infrastructure.
Regularly update systems for security and performance.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations and procedures.
Participate in entry-level security tasks under the guidance of our Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).
Flexible availability for off-hour maintenance and updates.
Qualifications
Must have experience working on a business domain network.
Must be proficient with Linux CLI; familiarity with Windows OS.
Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
Basic proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash).
Capable of troubleshooting and resolving complex hardware, software, and network issues.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills (but not required)
Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VBox, VMware, Hyper-V).
Interest or experience in IT security.

Pay: $27.00 - $34.00 per hour
