Overview
Kelley Kronenberg is hiring a Director of Compliance! We are looking for a Director of Compliance which is a pivotal role within the organization, influencing day-to-day operations and directly impacting the firm's financials through rigorous adherence to compliance standards. This dynamic professional collaborates extensively with business units, implements compliance-related training, and works closely with Billing and Finance to identify and rectify compliance shortcomings. The incumbent ensures daily monitoring of billing guidelines, addresses issues urgently, and establishes ongoing plans to maintain the firm's commitment to 100% billing accuracy.
Required Education and Experience
Supervisory and/or managerial experience.
Proven experience of Compliance work driven by data gathering and reporting
Strong experience in producing meaningful reporting and comfortable with technology.
Extensive experience in training and professional development.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience with Aderant Total Office preferred but not required.
5-10 years of experience in a heavily regulated industry such as Insurance.
Experience in writing Standard Operating Procedures and reinforce Policies across all levels of an organization
Essential Functions
Constantly champions the firm’s policy of 100% billing accuracy policy.
Ensure the business understands where guidelines are and how to read them and that these are the single source of truth for billing compliance.
Collaborate with the Director of Applications & Integration to guide the configuration of guidelines in the upcoming Billing & Case Management system.
Continuously work with technology to refine the configuration of guidelines into the new upcoming system.
Prepare and roll-out a program to prevent billing errors from reaching client invoicing and address uncovered issues.
Create and administer a Certification program for all existing and new timekeepers requiring passing a certification test before client work is allowed, stored and organized in a shared library.
Identify repeat offenders in billing accuracy and perform monthly auditing of compliance prior to WIP generation.
Collaborate with the Billing/Appeals and Accounts Receivable departments to identify client billing issues to be corrected prior to WIP generation, and with Chairs/BULs to highlight and correct errors.
Conduct group and individual training sessions that pertain to specific client guidelines.
Follow-up on training impact on all compliance training and coaching to ensure full adoption of correct billing practices.
