Job Description
LAB TECHNICIAN
MUST BE LOCAL TO CORPUS CHRISTI/TX OR SURROUNDING AREA
OR NO ISSUES WITH RELOCATING THERE WITHIN TWO WEEKS
ROTATING SHIFTS REQUIRED – 5-5-4 (Please confirm - Still working out details)
DUTIES
•Perform test methods, record and report test data with rigorous conformance to procedures
•Sample management
•Prioritize and run samples according to sample protocol
•Conduct laboratory analyses (hands-on working on the bench)
•Verify instrument status, ensure calibration, and maintain standard/solution expiration labels to ensure they are legible and have not expired
•Perform Statistical Quality Control (SQC) tests according to schedule
•Maintain inventory of SQC standard on post
•Troubleshoot/Notify Specialists when instrument is out of control
•Follow all laboratory analysis methods and procedures rigorously and without deviations
•Assist with the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment
•Understand general laboratory QA/QC requirements
•Participate in Test Method Assessments
•Understand and follow all safety procedures
•Lead/Participate in safe work practice team activities, and actively care for all
REQUIREMENTS
- Prefer Chemistry related AAS or BS but will consider experience in lieu degree
- Must be able to understand and follow SOP's
- Must be positive, pro-active and a team player
