Overview
The MEP Revit Designer will provide essential design support for projects, bid packages, and drawing control across multiple engineering disciplines, including Mechanical, Electrical (DCS), and Plumbing/Process piping. This role involves collaborating with project teams and external engineering firms to gather requirements, producing CAD designs, and coordinating drawings on assigned projects.
The ideal candidate will be proficient in AutoDesk AutoCAD and have some experience with AutoDesk Revit Modeling, possess strong MS Office skills, and have the ability to understand and coordinate drawing sets as well as review and adjust CAD/BIM models. Experience with developing process flow diagrams, updating one-line drawings for various MEP systems, conducting field walkdowns, and familiarity with facility process piping (Compressed Air, Nitrogen, water systems, etc.) is preferred.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Utilize Computer Aided Design (CAD) Autodesk AutoCAD tools daily to develop designs, bid packages, construction, and as-built drawing documentation across various disciplines.
- Receive, review, and adjust as-built AutoCAD/Revit design data to align with CAD standards, and check this data into the drawing management system.
- Create or modify drawings that support validation systems for various divisions.
- Work with a variety of teams and manage small- to large-size assigned projects within an engineering specialty.
- Manage multiple, often concurrent assignments and meet deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated competency in AutoDesk AutoCAD and some experience with AutoDesk Revit.
- Technical background in design/drafting in an engineering discipline is highly desired.
- Ability to produce as-built drawings from field walkdowns in the MEP disciplines.
- Strong MS Office skills.
- Experience in developing process flow diagrams and updating one-line drawings for MEP systems.
- Familiarity with facility process piping (Compressed Air, Nitrogen, water systems, etc.) is preferred.
