What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2nd Shift QC Chemist position at Kelly?
Kelly Science is seeking a 2nd Shift QC Chemist to join a growing company located near North Brunswick, NJ.
Shift: Monday-Friday 2:30pm-10:00pm – will spend the first 3-6 months on first shift before transitioning to second shift.

Summary
As the 2nd Shift QC Chemist, you will be responsible for carrying out sample preparations and sample analysis in compliance with CLIA/CAP standards and adhering to QA/QC requirements.

Summary
As the 2nd Shift QC Chemist, you will be responsible for carrying out sample preparations and sample analysis in compliance with CLIA/CAP standards and adhering to QA/QC requirements.
Job Duties Include
- Perform laboratory testing and reporting results within an accurate, timely and efficient manner while also adhering to all laboratory SOPs and QA/QC policies.
- Perform sample preparations and sample analysis utilizing LA-ICPMS instrumentation.
- Assist with instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting as required.
- Perform sample logistics including specimen handling, testing, documenting and communicating unacceptable specimens.
- Ensure compliance with all laboratory safety programs and CLIA/CAP requirements.
- Bachelors degree in chemistry or a related scientific field.
- Minimum of 1 years of academic or industry experience within a laboratory performing hands-on testing.
- Preferred qualifications include: prior CLIA/CAP experience, experience with ICP-MS or any other Mass Spectrometry, and experience with laser ablation.
- Must be able to work under minimal supervision, be interested in learning new techniques and instrumentation, and have strong verbal and written communication skills.
