Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour

Length of Assignment: ASAP- May 2022 (two-year contract)

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30-5:00, OT is not required, offered sometimes. This is an ONSITE position


Job Description:

Government Affairs – Administrative Assistant is responsible for all administrative functions of the department: answering phones, calendar management, scheduling travel, managing correspondence and scheduling couriers, processing expense reports, meeting/event planning, creating or modifying business documents, handling teleconference and technology setups, acting as a liaison for remote access issues.



Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides general administrative support. May provide back up support to higher-level management and Washington, D.C Office Coordinator as needed.
  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures. Follows Corporate Security and Privacy Rules, Corporate Branding Guidelines, and Copy Center procedures (if applicable).
  • Interacts with internal and external business partners and handles confidential or business-sensitive information.
  • Coordinates and maintains departmental files, as assigned, in compliance with corporate and government regulations.
  • Uses and understands Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), Corporate Travel Web site, and has the ability to learn internal programs as needed.
  • Supports the coordination of new employee office set-ups and onboarding.
  • Operates with general instruction and some supervision.

Skills and Qualifications:



High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) (Some college preferred)

1 years previous admin experience or equivalent.

Excel Intermediate skill level or advanced

Professional written and verbal communication skills to interact with, build, and maintain relationships with all levels of the organization.
Initiative and innovative skills are required to identify and implement business process improvements.
Excellent organization and follow up skills are critical to ensure timely distribution of product and communication across the supply chain.
Ability to understand the implications of new information. Must possess critical and strategic thinking skills to draw conclusions which results in solutions to potential issues.
Due to complexity of each customer, the ability to work independently is required.

Demonstrates the ability to solve problems and make decisions. Offers appropriate solutions based on the situation. Coordinate new product launch and product conversions.

Self-driven to develop and implement projects and communicate progress as well as outcomes.
