Applications Administrator
Responsibilities:
- Administers the core system and related financial and line-of-business systems. Creates new imports and ensures daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly imports are processed successfully. Creates and manages automations and workflows. Administers system access and security. Manages resources for planning, implementing, maintaining, monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting the core system including modules, interfaces, and integrations.
- Provides technical support to system users and researches and resolves system problems. Responds to requests for information and consults on system functionality, interfaces, and integrations.
- Assists with short-term and long-term planning for core and related financial and line-of-business systems. Meets with system stakeholders to understand business needs, and researches and proposes solutions.
- Installs and configures new packages and services. Applies system updates and performs upgrades.
- Creates and maintains system documentation including backup and recovery processes and procedures. Performs regular backup and recovery testing.
- Collaborates with the Information Security Officer on application security best practices and implements application security controls to meet information security needs.
- Creates and manages electronic signature documents.
- Performs other duties as assigned. Participates in an on-call rotation.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: Four years of application administration experience, or two years of information technology experience at a credit union, with specialized training scripting and database administration experience preferred. Experience working within a bank or credit union preferred.
Education: Associate Degree in information technology or related field, bachelor's degree preferred. Bachelor's degree required if less than four years of experience.
Interpersonal Skills:
Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Communicate professionally with department, users and vendors. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.
Other Skills
1.?Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows client and server operating systems
2.?Knowledge of basic networking and ability to troubleshoot connectivity issues
3.?Ability to review system logs and troubleshoot complex application issues
4.?Familiar with database concepts, database query languages, and scripting languages
5.?Ability to troubleshoot file-based interfaces and application programming interfaces (APIs)
6.?Knowledge of application security concepts and best practices
7.?Knowledge of web servers preferred
