What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookkeeper - Part Time position at Kelly?
Kelly has an excellent Part-Time opportunity for a Bookkeeper at a Church in beautiful Cambridge, Massachusetts. Working closely with the Executive Director, the Pastor, and the Parish Council, you will be responsible for General Ledger responsibilities including A/P and A/R. This is a Temp-to-Hire in-person opportunity paying $32 - $35 per hour and a 25 hour work week. Best of all, our great partner is time flexible and will work with you on creating a schedule that works best for you!
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Maintain chart of accounts
- Prepare weekly, monthly and annual financial reports for the Parish Council
- Financial reporting for all church events, including golf tournaments, picnics, banquets, etc
- Receive cash and credit card payments, enter into QuickBooks, and prepare bank deposits
- Reconcile credit card payments, on-line payments, and monthly bank statements
- Coordinate payroll on a bi-monthly basis
- Responsible for the annual audit and the preparation of the annual report for the church assembly in December
- Participate with the Parish Council in the development of the annual operating budget
- Prepare financial data for annual Workers’ Compensation audit
Skills and Requirements:
- Minimum 5 year of experience with demonstrated skill in accounting
- Experience with church or non-profit operations desired
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting or business
- Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office
- Experience in the development of reporting metrics and dashboards preferred
