County Clerical Specialist
Kelly Services is currently seeking a highly organized individual to join our team. This position requires excellent internal/external customer service skills along with a high degree of effective communication.
Hourly Rate: $16.00
Hours: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM M-F (Total of 37.5 hrs. weekly)
Location: Downtown Detroit - 2 Woodward Avenue (Coleman A Young Municipal Center)
Assignment Length: 5 Month Assignment- possible extension
Duties include but not limited to
- Aid the supervisor by providing oversight of a moderately sized group engaged in various clerical activities in various divisions.
- Assist in training new employees, both new and remedial Distribute and review assignments according to supervisor s instructions as well as maintain weekly reports and statistics relative to work that was received, distributed, and completed.
- Complete highly responsible and difficult clerical assignments i.e. memos, letters, data entry of court case information, vital stats documents, spreadsheets, etc.
- Ensure that processing deadlines are met for all documents and record statistics in spreadsheet form to include individual performance
- Assist with attendance reporting Maintain calendar of supervisor, schedule meetings, prepare agenda, and record minutes as needed.
- Assist management in the maintenance of court case file records, vital stats records, including filing and retrieval of records, and alert manager of any issues.
- Assist with the processing of requests for records both by mail, by phone, and in-person
