Job Responsibilities
The incumbent will be a member of the Formulary/Sample Room within the General Toxicology group in an AAALAC-accredited, GLP-compliant facility and responsible for performing test substance tracking and formulation preparation in support of laboratory studies. The duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Receipt, disposition and shipment of all test substances
- Managing the RDSIMS database kiosk within the Sample Room
- Entry of test substances into the Dispense database
- Set-up of study definitions in Dispense
- Test substance weighing and accountability
- Preparing formulations for all routes of administration and study designs
- Preparing test substance homogeneously mixed with rodent diets in the laboratory diet kitchen
- Formulation data collection manually and electronically
- Understanding and following all relevant protocols, SOPs, and safety guidelines
- Maintenance of the laboratory including equipment and glassware cleaning
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Science-related field (Chemistry, Animal Science, etc)
- Experience with the Provantis Dispense database preferred
