Full-time, temp-to-hire
Starting payrate: $16.00/hr.
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
The Human Resources Assistant serves as a key administrative position within HR. This position is responsible for assisting with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties, providing clerical and administrative support, compiling, and updating employee records for data entry. The HR Assistant is responsible for many on boarding and off boarding activities. To provide adequate coverage, the candidate must be able to work 40 hours per week between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m
Essential Duties & Responsibility. Other duties may be assigned.
- Maintains confidentiality of all information handled
- Performs administrative activities for HR including, but not limited to; interview coordination sending correspondence, sending electronic onboarding packets, maintains personnel files, data entry, updating reports and employee profiles
- Answer and direct employee calls and inquiries
- Responsible for all off boarding activities
- Scanning documents into electronic files
- Sending benefit information to newly eligible employees
- Responsible for overseeing and maintaining all activities in relation to filing, record retention and destruction
- Manages new hire paperwork in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Ensures all posted labor law posters meet federal and state regulations
- Provides a variety of reports derived from the HRIS system on a regular basis.
- Assists with the employee engagement and culture.
- Create and maintain meeting agendas, notes, and action items
- Incorporate process improvements where necessary to create efficiencies
- Other duties as assigned by the Human Resources Manager
- Regular attendance, punctuality, and adherence to agreed-upon schedule of availability are conditions of employment and essential function of this position
- Bi-lingual a plus. English/Spanish

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- An associate degree with a focus on Human Resources or Administration is preferred not required.
- One or more years of Administrative Assistant experience is required.
- Human Resources experience is preferred.
TECHNOLOGY SKILL BASE
This position requires a working knowledge of computer technology that includes Windows, PowerPoint, Advanced Word, and Excel. Individuals must possess the ability to learn and understand new software and other technology applications
