Available Positions with Shifts listed below - need 1 material handler for 1st shift and 2 bulk scalers for 2nd shift
Material Handler
1st shift: 6:30AM-3PM - $19/HR
Job duties:
- Must be able to safely work with automated industrial equipment, including operation, change over and basic maintenance.
- Report all food safety and quality issues to immediate Supervisor and / Quality technician. Immediately report any safety issues to the supervisor, maintenance or management.
- Responsible for the overall safety, quality, and efficiency of their work center
- Must check process orders in MES to verify completion, notify shift lead or supervisor of issues that pertain to process orders, inventory discrepancies, shortages , and material damages
- Must understand close out process in event orders are not completed
- Must effectively communicate any pertinent information essential to completing the task to the next shift in the event that work completion is not attainable in one shift.
- No skipping process orders, deviations are only permitted if instructed by shift lead or management
- Return all remaining unscaled inventory physically and systematically to designated areas
- Bring all scaled items to designated scaling storage racks to combine with bulk scaled pallet
- Must maintain bulk scaling and material movement areas and isles tour ready at all times
- Must fill out daily assignment logs and inventory disposal/adjustment forms
- Clean scaling areas and isles 30 mins prior to shift end
- Must perform all duties and tasks assigned by shift lead or supervisor
- Must be aware that all movements are tracked and measured by upper management to gauge job efficiency and effectiveness
- Responsible for understanding and execution of all SOPs, Trainings, and Work Instructions related to Job Description
- Understands that any deviations from any key task will result in immediate corrective actions
Requirements:
- Attendance record must be in good standing, less than 5 points.
- Must be able to learn computer systems and use of scanning technology
- Must demonstrate specific prior experience that is directly pertinent to the skills required and operation involved.
- Must be able to perform all job functions pertinent to the process
- SQF training, GMP training, SOP training
Bulk Scaler (2 needed)
2nd shift: 2:30PM-11PM - $19/HR
Job Duties:
- Safely work with automated industrial equipment, including operation, change over and basic maintenance
- Report all food safety and quality issues to immediate Supervisor and / Quality technician. Immediately report any safety issues to the supervisor, maintenance or management.
- Responsible for the overall safety, quality, and efficiency of their work center
- Comply with all company SOP’s, GMP’s, and SQF regulations
- Maintain a neat and sanitary work area at all times
- Certified in operation of electronic forklifts and additional handling equipment
- Use automated system for removing raw materials/packaging from warehouse locations
- Transport necessary items to scaling areas for inspection and bar-coding
- Ensure all raw material brought to line is on a plastic pallet and pallet is bar-coded.
- Replace unused items in designated warehouse location
- Perform any other duties as instructed by the management
Requirements:
- Candidates with experience in a manufacturing, light industrial, warehouse or job shop environment preferred
- Must complete skill assessments with passing scores as defined by Puratos
- Must be able to use production computer screens as instructed
- Must have a positive attitude and willing to learn
- Must demonstrate the ability to communicate both verbal and in written form in English
- Must demonstrate the ability to read and understand system instruction and training materials
- Must be able to work overtime, including weekends, when mandated in accordance with the contract
- Must be able to follow instructions
- Must have passed company physical when required
- Must be able to lift 50 lb
- Frequent pushing or pulling of material and/or equipment. Frequent standing and walking
- Attendance record must be in good standing
- SQF training, GMP training, SOP training is a plus
- High School Degree preferred, additional education is a plus
