Job Description
The IT Operations Manager advocates for company regional businesses inside the IT organization. They will work with the business to coordinate IT services to support business strategies and goals, escalate critical service issues or key project deliveries, and be a communication channel between the business and IT.
Essential Functions: Work with business and IT to define short-, mid-, and long-term goals that lead to improved business outcomes and better customer service. Negotiate priorities to align with corporate goals, IT standards and initiatives, and financial budgets. Establish a cadence of communication between business and IT, including definition and periodic reporting of key metrics to measure the value of IT to the business and service trends. Ability to handle critical incidents with a sense of urgency and quality to create a positive customer service experience. Keep critical stakeholders updated. Participate in high business impact essential calls and keep business updated on progress toward resolution. Communicate business impact to IT and escalate accordingly. Take full accountability and ownership of customers issues and follow problems through with an end-end resolution. Work through a matrix organization to deliver on commitments. Demonstrate exceptional communication skills and document customer service actions and outcomes. Follow up until closure with key stakeholders. Properly escalate critical issues that have a significant business impact.
Qualifications Experience: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline with an IT focus 5-6 years of IT experience, preferably in a Supply chain Logistics environment Experience using the ITIL V3 framework Experience in information technology warehouse management systems support such as JDA and Korber is a plus
Knowledge Employment Standards: Wide knowledge of IT architectures and IT processes Project management skills are beneficial Excellent communication skills Good Understanding of IT Infrastructure Ability to communicate effectively with senior executives, manage expectations and escalations Team player and ability to get things done through others Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills IT Infrastructure technology savvy, understand Network, PC, and RF equipment Physical Requirements Abilities: The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
