Laboratory Technician II - Dayton, NJ

JOB DESCRIPTION
- To maintain daily care of all animals and rooms.
Animal Care: General feeding and watering of all animals.
Changing litter, cleaning cages, cleaning animal rooms to maintain highest level of cleanliness and sanitation.
Washing glassware, feeders, etc. as required. Monitor need for feed, cleaning supplies, paper products.
Log in animals upon their arrival and put into cages. Assist in repair and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
Prepare animals for testing i.e., clipping fur, ear tagging Assist technicians with the performance of tests.
Hold animals during dosing of test samples.
Ability to safely wear a respirator required.
General Maintenance: Assist with cleaning of office, conference and rest room areas on regularly scheduled basis.
Assist with maintenance of outside premises as weather permits. Other: Other duties as assigned by the Technician Manager or Study Directors.
QUALIFICATIONS: at least a High School Diploma
The individual must be reliable, enjoy working with animals and be comfortable handling them.
He/She must be easily adaptable to a wide range of responsibilities, be able to work with a minimum of supervision and be of the highest integrity.
