Kelly in partnership with our customer in Milwaukee is seeking a candidate for a Material Handler /Material Control Clerk role on 1st shift hours. This is a contract role anticipated to last about 6 months, located on the bus line in Milwaukee.
Job Details:
Hours: 1st shift M-F 9:00am-5:30pm
Pay: $20.65/hr. Up to $1000 in Sign-On Bonus
Job Duties:
The Material Handler/Material Control Clerk is responsible for performing duties related to managing inventory, cycle counting, shipping, receiving, and packaging of finished goods, delivery of materials and supplies.
- Pick, Pack and deliver raw materials to production floor and sales orders to shipping. Work with Production Scheduling and Inside Sales Teams to fulfill orders.
- Manage physical inventory, cycle counts and update materials in ERP system
- Package hazardous materials using scoops, funnels, dry box, hoods from/to pallets, pails, drums, bottles, and cans – wear PPE as specified
- Maintain supply inventory supply systems for various internal customers and deliver supplies throughout the facility
- Perform receiving functions; generate receipts, weigh, and verify inbound shipments of raw materials for quantity, weight, and conformance of materials. Enter data into ERP systems
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in material handling or similar role
- Demonstrated ability to use shop math
- Day shift hours – but may need to be flexible in start/end times as needed by business function
- Due to the need to access export-controlled information – only US Persons (US Citizen, or US Permanent Resident) may be considered for the role
- Previous forklift experience preferred
- Experience in biotech, pharmaceutical, food or chemical manufacturing is preferred, but not required
