What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Technician position at Kelly?
Contract to Direct opportunity in Plymouth for an experienced Technician!
- 2nd shift: 2pm - 1am, Monday thru Friday with some Saturdays
Pay will be based off years of experience.
1-2 years: $21-27/hr
2-4 years: $27-32/hr
- Position intends on converting to direct after 90 days
Experience in the following is required:
- CNC and/or screw machines
- Troubleshooting
- Mechanical/Electrical
Job Summary
Under direction of engineering staff, assists in all phases of the design, development, production, testing, operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment, tools and machinery.
Job Duties
- Perform work associated with automation improvements, new plant layouts, installation, calibration and operation of production machines
- Set up, adjust and operate machinery in support of the production process, as needed
- Test and inspect machines to determine safe and efficient operation, perform routine maintenance and fix standard malfunctions
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering specifications and shop order to determine machine setup, production methods and sequence of operation
- Devise, fabricate and assemble new or modified mechanical components for products, such as machinery or equipment and measuring instruments
- Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
- Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
- Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Experience and Education
- Perform work under direct supervision
- Handle basic issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher level staff
- Possess beginning to working knowledge of subject matter
- Require accreditation from a technical school or applicable skilled trades program and 0 to 2 years of experience
