DESCRIPTION:
In a team setting and cGMP environment the QC Analyst conducts routine testing of Environmental and Critical Utility monitoring samples required for the GMP facility. The position requires testing to be completed in compliance with all applicable procedures, standards and GMP regulations.
- Prepare data and documentation using calculators and computer software.
- Entry and review of data in a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- Peer review, evaluate and investigate results from various analyses.
- Properly dispose of sample preparations and solutions according to safety and environmental procedures.
- Coordinates testing responsibilities to ensure QC test support according to the needs of Manufacturing to maintain continuous process flow.
- Functions as a team member in the QC In Process Laboratory to provide timely test analysis information on the status of conformance to requirements.
- Cross-trains on assigned testing responsibilities to ensure a fully cross-functional laboratory team environment, as applicable.
- Maintains laboratory supplies to ensure an adequate supply and prevent testing delays.
- Maintains cleanliness of laboratory by performing daily/monthly cleaning activities.
- Sample management including, shipping, and receiving.
- Required to work with chemical and biological substances on a daily basis.
- Required to work on feet or seated for extended periods of time in a laboratory setting, including ascending and descending a fixed vertical ladder.
- Requires sufficient vision to adequately perform visual inspections of materials (color, appearance, particles, etc.) and to document observations during laboratory testing
- Occasionally required to lift up to 20 pounds
- Must be able execute tasks in a BSL2 environment while aseptically gowned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Chemistry or related field.
- 0-2 years related experience in university/college or medical device, biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical industry
