Salary: $70-75k, depending on experience

Hours: daytime 1st shift


Position Summary:

Quality Supervisor to coordinate, implement, and supervise the Quality Assurance function to the requirements of current standards in place.


Job Duties:

  • Manage direct reporting team members including Quality Control Technicians from CMM, Receiving & Final Inspection and First Article Inspections areas
  • Fulfill supervisory responsibilities in accordance with policies and applicable laws including interviewing, hiring, and developing, coaching, mentoring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
  • Maintain positive employee relations and ensuring there are no conflicts between employees and other duties assigned
  • Review and evaluate day-to-day team members job assignments, ensure job reporting accuracy, and job deliverables are met
  • Assess training needs and provide training to both Quality & Production employees?
  • Able to measure and program CMM (using part solid models or samples) for new and running parts
  • Participate in production meeting to understand product delivery dates and disseminate information’s to reporting staffs and drive daily job deliverables
  • Keep OID or similar tracking methods for reporting job completion and target dates
  • Develop and maintain open lines of communication between yourself and Quality Engineers, Production Supervisors, Lead Technicians and Management
  • Act as key contact point for ensuring quality in production floor
  • Drive factory operations teams to meet quality metrics (internal failures, scrap & rework) and ensure factory is producing or building parts/units to customer specifications and meeting all PSG quality standards
  • Report all manufacturing defects and rejections in the facility due to poor quality
  • Assign scraps and reworks to the related department or share data to management
  • Address all material review boards (MRB) issues on daily basis and work to resolve by pulling necessary support teams
  • Track and monitor CMS for inventory accuracy on Quality Cost Center, report and post variances in a timely manner and drive teams to no variances in Quality Department in CMS reporting
  • Complete source inspection and documentations based on customer picklists and DQR process
  • Collaborate with Customer Service & Product departments to complete all external source inspection requests
  • Ensure products are shipped on time
  • Participate in design reviews with Product and Process Engineering teams and support teams in developing continuous improvement projects
  • Collect, review, and maintain files of all documentation relating to production and quality control
  • Support internal/external audits for quality systems (AS9100D) and NADCAP audits to ensure quality systems are maintained
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams for corrective actions for Audits NCRs and initiate submission, create necessary system procedures and work instructions as required
  • Complete calibration of equipment and gages in timely manner by reviewing and monitoring the GageTrak SW
  • Coordinate with external calibration suppliers for quotes, schedules and ensure all factory measuring equipment is calibrated
  • Ensure safety glasses are worn, work areas are kept clean and maintain 5S activities related with quality areas (metrology)
  • Other projects/duties as assigned by Quality Manager

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred
  • At least 3 years Quality Control experience in a mechanical/electrical manufacturing environment?
  • Familiarity with Aerospace and/or Military applications strongly preferred
  • Self-starter with ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Ability to read and understand technical blueprint drawings, GD & T, concept drawings and product specifications
  • Ability to work in a cross functional team environment and lead teams on specific quality projects
  • High-level attention to detail required in all aspects related to scope of work
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • AS9100/ISO quality systems knowledge preferred
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
