Kelly Services is actively recruiting for a R&D Lab Technician for a Long Term Contract opportunity in Lake Jackson, TX.
Experience with Wet Chemistry is a must.
This job role is listed as lab technologist, with emphasis on enabling new lab capabilities and performing lab scale equipment & asset build, scale-up, and screening activities. This role would require basic knowledge of metal tubing and glass equipment. Some of the daily tasks include operating lab equipment and controlling the process within established safety limits, loading & cleaning reactors, packaging and disposing of waste per RCRA regulations, handling catalysts in the glove box, sample shipment globally, and general housekeeping tasks.
The role requires a strong ability for troubleshooting, strong collaboration with peers and scientists, a flexible work schedule to complete a set of given experiments, keeping up with appropriate documentation of experiments, attention to detail to understand the process, and participating in safety related programs such as safety checks and proper PPE. This position will be on a 9/80 schedule to be consistent with other personnel working in the lab. Overtime is possible but not expected on regular basis.
