Secondary Machine Operator

Pay: $16-17/hour

Direct Hire

Duration: M-F 6am-2:10pm

Industry: Industrial Equipment Manufacturer

Location: Wheeling, IL

Required Qualifications:

• At least one year of similar work experience preferred
• High School diploma preferred
• Basic mechanical skills and ability to operate and adjust simple machinery required
• Read and write English to understand all documentation including Work Order, Setup Sheets, Part Drawings, Machining Process Sheets and Special Instructions
• Ability to regularly lift or move up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities:

• Operate secondary machines:
  • Load parts
  • Perform visual inspection
  • Change simple tooling as required
  • Remove chips from machine and place in scrap bin
• Ensure machining operation is performed according to all documentation including the Work Order, Setup Sheets, Part Drawings, Machining Process Sheets, and Special Instructions (if applicable)
• Inspect machined parts to ensure compliance with Remke Quality standards
• Complete applicable Work Order and Quality documentation and daily production reports as required
• Maintain work area in a clean and neat manner ensuring all tools, fixtures, materials, and other supplies are cleaned and put away at the end of every shift
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on secondary machines
