The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Technician is responsible for planning, implementing, and supporting all project safety, accident, and fire protection programs for the Company. Analyze needs and determine specifications for protective safety equipment, materials, and gear. Directs surveillance inspections and controls hazardous working conditions or unsafe employee activities. Ensures required records and reports are complete, accurate and submitted in accordance with established Company procedures. The ideal candidate will have the ability to identify and implement employee training and development programs, strong communication and presentation skills.

Essential Functions:
- Manage EHS compliance issues for the Operations division to maintain the safety and health of field personnel
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal EHS standards, and compliance with all company policies
- Monitor facilities and processes for adherence to OSHA/EPA guidelines and the elimination of incidents
- Investigate all safety incidents, near misses, workers' compensation issues and property damage
- Perform in-house training regarding site EHS and EHS-related regulations
- Write site-specific health and safety plans and job specific JSA's
- Perform site safety audits on a regular basis
- Assist field personnel in complying with federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to safety
- Conduct new hire EHS orientations and on-boarding
- Proactively seeks new ways to improve overall safety performance and employee well-being in the field
- Assist management in generating new policies and/or procedures related to safety
- Communicate clearly and interactively with the workforce
- Develop and maintain organizational communications related to Safety
- Monitor spending against the departmental budget
- Identify trends that could affect objectives and/or operational resources; advise accordingly
- Work effectively as a team member, team leader and with all members of the organization
- Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization

Knowledge and Skills:
- Intermediate level or above in MS Office Suite products
- Must have basic knowledge of computer operations
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Must be able to make on the spot decisions regarding safety practices, and system operational functions
- Ability to work flexible hours. We operate 24/7/365
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma (or equivalent) required
- 1 Year Experience, required
- Bilingual in English and Spanish, preferred
- First Aid/AED/CPR certified, preferred
- Must possess a valid state driver's license
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS)
- Must pass a drug test, motor vehicle record check, and a background check after accepting a conditional offer of employment
