Description
Mission:
The Material Handler transfers raw materials throughout the facility, from the time of receiving to transportation, staging and storage.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to primary bin location or available location by predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or part number
- Mark materials with proper identifying information: part number and location
- Perform and/or verify Oracle’s sub inventory transfer transaction for quantity of materials or items received and put away in location.
- Pick orders from stock for staging in production/assembly/fulfillment line
- Record location and quantity on work orders for materials or items picked
- Return materials from production to warehouse inventory and perform required material transactions to designate material location
- Utilize shrink wrapper to prepare skids for shipment
- Use a computer or scanner to perform material transactions.
- Willingness to perform duties outside the predefined scope

Qualifications
Strengths to be successful:
- Ability to use a computer to complete simple tasks
- Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work team
- Must be a team player and willing to work in a diverse work environment
- Ability to stand; walk; use hands to grip, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Maintain reliable attendance, including overtime as required
- High school diploma or equivalent, or three or more years of experience in a warehouse environment
- Oracle or scanner experience a plus
