Description
To identify, validate and recommend various options to improve productivity on production lines and in the warehouse/setup while maintaining quality, inventory accuracy, and keeping costs down. This associate must be able to get consensus from various departments on efficiency improvement options in order to implement changes. This associate will also be evaluating existing processes and data to reduce or eliminate waste and nonessential tasks from operations.
OUTCOME: Improved Efficiency
- Create and revise standard work instructions reducing waste and nonessential tasks
- Establish time and employee-based efficiency targets while maintaining quality and cost constraints
- Establish the pros and cons of various efficiency methodologies.
OUTCOME: Documentation
- Work to develop standardized work instructions for work cells
- Work with departments to gain consensus and help establish training methodologies
OUTCOME: Production Support
- Provide solutions to overall packaging issues that occur during the day-to-day operations of the facilities
- Work with Set-up and Production Mgr. on establishing efficient methods that provide a “best fit” based on our equipment capabilities.
- Be a part of the First Run Launch process.
- Provide daily support for operation metrics and analysis as needed
- Communicate directly with the shop floor associates to evaluate how the packaging is working
OUTCOME: Warehouse/Setup Support
- Provide solutions to setup and warehouse issues that occur during the day-to-day operations of the facilities
- Work with Warehouse Manager and Warehouse Supervisors on establishing “best fit” methodologies

QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate Degree or equivalent from technical school or two-year college
- Strong Analytical Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Proficient in lean methodologies
- Good verbal and written skills
- Preferred experience with troubleshooting skills
- Preferred experience with D365 but not required
- Preferred experience with GM and/or FCA packaging guidelines, standards, and processes but not required
Salary : $37,900 - $48,000
