The primary mission of the Quality Operations Specialist is to ensure sustained compliance to QMS and customer requirements this scope includes: product monitoring and verification activities, document control, training Quality Team and associates to QMS and customer requirements, laboratory asset management, change management and supporting the CAPA, APQP, FRL and continuous improvement processes. The secondary function of this role is to support Operations as the D365 SME, Creating/Revising PI Sheets, support as supervisor back up and support in work order processing.


KEY OUTCOMES (KPI’S):

1) OUTCOME: Manage and maintain compliance to QMS

  • Train and lead Quality Technicians and associates to QMS and customer requirements
  • Engage with leadership and associates regarding change management / deviations.
  • Monitor product conformance to ensure compliance to QMS and customer requirements.
  • Ensure QMS documentation is accurate, current and all associates are trained on changes
  • Manage laboratory assets/calibrations and testing materials to ensure compliance to QMS

2) OUTCOME: Lead and support Non-Conformance Investigations and Resolutions

  • Drive CAPA investigations from initiation to completion to ensure timely closure
  • Support team in investigative, root cause, and corrective/preventative action activities to ensure adequate and thorough CAPA reports
  • Engage with leadership and associates to ensure lessons learned and any changes resulting from CAPA are communicated and training is completed where applicable

3) OUTCOME: Support APQP Process and FRL’s (First Run Launch) as required

  • Actively participate in APQP and FRL activities to ensure adherence to QMS and customer requirements.
  • Ensure documentation is accurate and compliant to QMS and customer requirements.
  • Engage with leadership and associates to ensure requirements are communicated and training is completed

where applicable.

  • Monitor production to ensure newly developed processes are sustained, effective and requirements are being successfully being met

4) OUTCOME: Support operations by applying skills and/or experience in other areas as needed or required.

  • D365 SME support and training
  • Support / Supervisor Back Up
  • PI Sheet Creation / Revisions
  • Support in Validating, Preparing and Approving work orders

5) OUTCOME: Support Continuous Improvement Process

  • Actively participant in CI activities throughout organization, ESP, 4-panel, A3
  • Promote continuous improvement through process improvement and customer expectations
  • Monitor process to drive efficiency and maintain industry best practices
