In this role, you will have the flexibility to organize your work between office and remote, in a hybrid work culture.
We are now looking for a Tax Specialist for Finance & Accounting team . In this position you will manage tax compliance and payment processes in the US, with focus on indirect taxation. You have one of the key roles in the tax audit processes in the US. This permanent position reports to the Tax Manager, Americas and is based in Atlanta, Georgia.
Tax Specialist’s key responsibilities:
- Assist Tax Manager with US federal and state tax compliance processes for two legal entities with approximately $1B in revenues
- Prepare and file sales and use taxation in over 40 state and local jurisdictions
- Manage other sales and use tax processes, including Avalara reporting system
- Process property tax assessments and tax bills (including payments) timely and accurately
- Assist Tax Manager in tax reporting in accordance with IFRS and statutory regulations
- Manage governmental inquiries and audits of tax filings
- Assist in compliance of customer and vendor tax exemption certificates
- Research, document and communicate indirect tax issues to Tax Manager and/or Management
- Ensure timely and accurate responses to customer inquiries on sales tax issues, as needed
Global Tax team is a part of Kemira CFO office, which provides accurate and timely information and drives efficiency improvements through best-in-class finance & accounting and planning & controlling services as well as risk management, treasury, investor relations, M&A operations and IT.

What you’ll bring to the team:
- Bachelor´s degree in taxation, accounting and/or finance
- 4 years’ experience as a tax consultant or in-house tax analyst with indirect taxation knowledge
- An independent mindset and strong analytical skills
- Good communication and co-operation skills
- Ability to work proactively and independently
- Experience with SAP and HFM desired
