Job description
We are seeking an efficient Forklift Operator to join our team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating an electric sit-down forklift to transport pallets to designated locations and ensure compliance with company safety standards. Your role will involve picking orders and inventory. While prior warehouse experience is preferred, it is not necessary, as we are willing to train the right candidate. This is a full-time position based in our VA location.
Responsibilities
- Operate an electric sit-down forklift to transport pallets of orders to designated locations.
- Ensure proper loading of pallets in inventory locations, adhering to company safety standards.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety procedures while operating the forklift and handling pallets.
- Monitor and respond to requests from unloaders who require pallets at their dock.
- Optimize warehouse space utilization and ensure all items are appropriately stored.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Assist the shipping department as needed.
Requirements
- Valid forklift license (preferred)
- Ability to lift 50lb to 80lb consistently
- Strong attention to detail.
- Highly motivated and driven to meet service needs.
- Results-oriented mindset.
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not required.
