Developer 4, Applications sought by Merastar Insurance Company in Jacksonville, FL. 40 hrs./wk. Duties: Provide tech. support for multiple apps. & system software technologies. Develop & obtain signs offs on tech. specs, design documents, functional designs, & requirements. Develop, document, & execute unit test cases. Report & manage issues in JIRA & ALM. Resolve complex & unique tech. problems & issues with assigned apps. & work processes. Review & recommend test plans for impacted areas & end to end test coverage. Work closely with Solution Architect to understand requirements & provide solutions using Policy center application. Recommend improvements to existing processes or propose new ones, to improve quality of project deliverables. Gather & analyze complex facts & data & draw correct inferences from information, assess alternatives & present logical solutions to problems. Coord. work with Business Analysts, Integration development teams, & Quality Assurance resources. Initiate effort estimations, requirement walkthroughs & tech. feasibility studies. Attend Daily Scrum Calls, sprint planning & sprint retrospective mtgs. Ensure batch cycles are being executed according to plan & defects are resolved. Conduct sessions to review tech. specs. & high-level design documents with Solution Architects to ensure code developed per standards. Address break fixes to production support problems. Provide advice, training, & tech. support for projects. Develop tech. knowledge & performance skills. Research, evaluate & recommend modern technologies. Provide on-call production support assistance & incident resolutions. Remote work/telecommuting benefits available. Hybrid position. Must report to office worksite 3 days per wk. Must reside within MSA of office worksite. MIN.REQ.: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equiv., in Information Technology, or related field. 8 yrs. exp. in job offered. SPECIAL SKILLS/REQ.: 2 yrs. exp. with Java & Gosu programming languages. 4 yrs. exp. in business process life cycles & systems located within property & casual insurance. 5 yrs. exp. with policy system conversions/modernization including conversions from mainframe-based systems to cloud based systems.
