Job Title: Product Manager

Description:

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Product Manager to lead our handheld gas-powered equipment product line. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the product, market trends, and customer needs. As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for driving product innovation, managing suppliers, and leading a cross-functional team to deliver exceptional products that meet or exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Strategy and Development:

  • Develop and execute product strategies aligned with company goals and market demands.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation.
  • Define product requirements based on customer feedback, industry trends, and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and manufacturing teams to drive product development from concept to launch.

Supplier Management and Sourcing:

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, lead times, and service agreements.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering collaboration and driving continuous improvement.

Product Lifecycle Management:

  • Manage the entire product lifecycle, including new product introductions, line extensions, and product phase-outs.
  • Monitor product performance and market trends, making recommendations for product enhancements or modifications as needed.
  • Coordinate with sales, marketing, and customer service teams to ensure effective product launches and support initiatives.

Team Leadership and Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Lead a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.
  • Provide guidance, direction, and support to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
  • Communicate product vision, strategy, and priorities effectively across the organization, ensuring alignment and buy-in.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or related field
  • Proven experience in product management, preferably in the power equipment or outdoor industry.
  • Deep knowledge of handheld gas-powered equipment, including technical specifications, applications, and customer requirements.
  • Inside / Outside Sales knowledge a plus
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve goals and deliver results.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in supplier management, sourcing, and contract negotiation.
  • Familiarity with product lifecycle management principles and processes.
  • Able to understand, create and follow budgets.
  • Location: Western PA / Pittsburgh / Blairsville PA

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
