Cook
Full-Time position (40 hours/week)
12pm - 8pm shift
Weekend Flexibility
Position Responsibilities:
- Implements menus
- Oversees and participates in food preparation
- Ensures sanitation in all areas of Culinary Services
- Completes all tasks for Cook checklist and assists with meal prep
- Coordinates and prepares for the lunch and dinner meal service
- Contributes to Healthcare meal prep (mechanical foods)
- Guarantees quality of meal services
Competencies:
- A friendly, professional and enthusiastic personality
- A passion for improving the lives of seniors
- Knowledge of and the ability to conform to food service sanitation practices as necessary to fulfill state regulations
- Possess exceptional organizational skills and customer service skills
- The ability to work well under time constraints and be able to meet deadlines
Education & Experience:
- Prior culinary training/education, preferred (but we’ll train the right candidate)
- 2 years of cooking experience, required
- Capable of obtaining a ServSafe Certification
- Familiar with reading production sheets, recipe, cook and professional chef cookbooks
