Position Summary
Reports to and functions as the IT Director under the overview of the CEO. The IT Director coordinates the development, implementation, monitoring and maintenance of the technology information systems at Kendal at Lexington. The IT Director will serve as the IT Security Officer.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years’ experience in the field of computer science/technology.
- Must have a working knowledge of both PC and LAN operations regarding hardware and software.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to meet deadlines and analytical/diagnostic as well as problem-solving abilities.
- Must have the ability to facilitate the need to understand and support Kendal’s standard vertical applications.
- Must be competent at developing and maintaining productive and cooperative relationships with staff, Board members, residents and outside vendors.
- Must possess skills in multitasking and prioritizing.
- Must have effective organizational and time-management skills.
- Must be able to effectively manage support staff and vendors in daily operations.
- Strong understanding of diverse computer systems and networks.
- Strong knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science preferred but engineering or other, relevant field acceptable or equivalent experience with 3 or more years of work experience in computer operations. An individual may hold this position without a degree but is expected to complete continued education toward their degree in Computer Science or similar field while working at Kendal.
- Certification as an IT Technician will be advantageous (ex. COMPTIA A , Microsoft Certified IT Professional)
