What are the responsibilities and job description for the Insurance Defense Associate position at Kennedys Law?
Kennedys, a Legal 500 and Chambers-ranked global firm serving insurers and the London market, is seeking a Junior to Mid-level Associate with solid defense litigation experience to join its Chicago office. This is an excellent opportunity for ambitious lawyers to join a growing, competitive law firm with a diversified global practice.
Candidates should have a strong litigation background and a willingness to work in-office at least three days per week.
Required experience
- 2-5 years' defense litigation experience
- Ability to interact with clients, draft pleadings and discovery demands, conduct depositions, perform legal research and draft dispositive motions
- Excellent research, writing and communication skills
- Substantive familiarity with the rules and procedures of the Illinois Courts is a must
- Must be licensed to practice in Illinois
- Licensed to practice in other jurisdictions a plus, especially Indiana
