Kennedys is looking for a Paralegal or Law Clerk to join the Miami office on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a diverse and exciting team in Miami who act for clients across the world on high value complex insurance claims and corporate and commercial deals in LATAM and the Caribbean. They work closely with their offices in the region (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru), as well as the network of offices across the globe, including the UK, the US, Europe and APAC regions.

This role would suit a certified and experienced paralegal who is looking to develop a career in this area and moving their career forward.

Team

Kennedys' Miami office helps market-leading insurers and reinsurers manage claims, analyse and litigate coverage and related exposures, as well as provide an advisory role for related issues across all lines of business in the Latin American and Caribbean region.

Clients

  • Local insurers in LATAM
  • Global reinsurers
  • Insureds/Corporate clients across many sectors

Cases

  • The successful candidate will assist the lawyers in the LATAM hub with matters including, coverage advice, file management and legal research and analysis.

Required experience

  • Certified as paralegal in the US*
  • Ideally also qualified lawyer in any Latam jurisdiction although not required.
  • English and Spanish language skills are essential
