Description
Essential Duties include the following:
- Meets and exceeds all required duties of the Security Technician 1 and 2
- Onsite communicate and coordination with General Contractors, Supervisor, customers and other trades
- Create clear, accurate project As-Built markups
- Study and evaluate project blueprints, spec, and track contract scope changes
- Assist with project financials and labor hours
- Plan and organize your jobsite needs in advanced to drive high productivity onsite
- Provide before and after-hours support to management and crew for crucial project and personal needs and requirements
- Build clean, organized and labeled panels
- Installation of ancillary field devices, relays, electrified locking hardware, and system programming
- Keep Project Manager and Superintendent informed of all changes or impacts to the project
- Basic security system setup installation and programming of access control and video management software.
- Lead commission and testing with the Superintendent
- Oversee crew tasks and productivity while providing guidance and leadership
- Daily update and project debriefing and planning with the Superintendent
- Oversite of crew completion of weekly Paycom safety training
- Oversee and complete weekly safety documents and logs
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications/ Requirements:
- 3-5 years performing related functions within the security industry
- Ability to run projects on their own with minimal to no support.
- Understands basic network and troubleshooting of devices such as cameras, access control devices, communication devices (Aiphone and Code Blue).
- In depth knowledge of RS-485 communications and wiring. Must be able to diagnose and troubleshoot communication issues.
- In-depth knowledge of IBC Chapter 10 of building codes and how to apply them.
- Basic understanding of MS Office Software especially Excel
- Team player
- Access Control & Video Certifications Required
- Able to multi-task and adapt to changing demands
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Experience with high volume workload while maintaining a high degree of accuracy
- Should have, or be willing to obtain OSHA thirty certification
- Security Technician will be responsible for providing basic hand tools.
Physical Requirements:
- Performs strenuous daily activities required as directed by a Superintendent and Project Manager.
- To be able to work off all types of ladders, lifts (Certified), cat walks, or other safe work areas: Able to work within restricted areas, manholes, utility tunnels, crawl spaces and attics; Able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead; Able to carry tools and materials up to 50 pound from the ground to overhead; Able to constantly move on feet, climbing ladders and work overhead; Possess good vision (normal or corrected).
Must be available to travel to and from jobsites.
