What are the responsibilities and job description for the Docket Clerk position at Kent County?
The Docket Clerk position provides skilled clerical services to ensure accurate preparation and documentation of case records for the 17th Circuit Court Clerk's Office. This individual receives and reviews filings for statutory requirements and dockets pleadings. This position works with prosecutors, attorneys, probation officers, judicial staff, and law enforcement agencies to provide information on criminal, civil, and family division pleadings.
A major function of the position is working with the public, in person and on the telephone, to provide public information on the status of cases, court operations, and court procedures. This position will be actively involved in the implementation of the new statewide e-filing system.
The hours for this position will generally fall between 8:00am - 5:15pm.
