- Masters or Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Information Systems, or related quantitative field.
- Minimum of three years of related experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively (written, graphically and verbal).
- Working knowledge of research designs, development and implementation of organizational processes associated with data management, reporting, and analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to collect, analyze, process, manipulate and organize the information necessary to make informed decisions.
- Ability to perform project management, data validation and related duties as assigned with minimal supervision.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments with competing priorities with attention to details.
- Ability to perform the requirements of the job while maintaining confidentiality.
- Demonstrated proficiency with statistical programming and database principles.
- Ability to use data manipulation tools such as SAS, SPSS, R or Python.
- Develop tools for presentation of academic and operational data for different audiences to support research, reporting, and analytics functions of Kent ISD.
- Assist with development of reports for school districts to highlight performance on both state summative assessments and interim benchmark assessments
- Assist with survey development, analysis and presentation of survey results.
- Support Kent ISD initiatives in program evaluation and issue reports as required.
- Work closely with Kent ISD staff to help with data analysis needs and ensure that data is used to make informed decisions.
- Help school districts to gain more understanding with school performance data.
- Support data analysis needs and reporting of all grant related activities at Kent ISD.
- Assist with data interpretation and develops data related business rules.
- Provide internal and external guidance and disseminate information as it relates to school data projects and initiatives.
- Develop projects or tools that add value to current ways school districts are already looking at data

Job Title: Research & Data Analyst
This position, under the supervision of Kent ISD’s Director of Research and Continuous Improvement, is responsible for the data management, reporting, and analytics strategies in support of research and continuous improvement activities at Kent ISD.
Job Qualifications:
Salary: Professional Salary Schedule, 260 days – year round; Grade 5 = $68,767-$88-958 per year
Benefits: Robust benefit package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance; District paid life and long term disability insurance; paid sick and vacation days. Opportunity for partial remote work.
