Title: Academic Technology Integrator

Reports to: Director of Technology

Schedule/travel: Full-time calendar year position. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm (includes a ½ hour unpaid lunch period). Additional hours, including evening and weekend hours, may be required.

FLSA: Non-Exempt

Classification: Staff

Position Summary:

The Academic Technology Integrator will help define, develop and implement the appropriate technology solutions in the classroom which promote and support the school’s mission. The Academic Technology Integrator will support our faculty and students in their use of technology for teaching and learning; will serve as a pleasant, professional, knowledgeable and approachable point of contact for faculty, staff and students; and must be able to effectively communicate technical information/concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities include:

➢ Supports and maintains all classroom technology
➢ Support existing technologies including, Canvas LMS, Veracross SIS, Google Workspace, EdPuzzle, Padlet, Flipgrid, Screencastify, Zoom and other various educational technology platforms and apps.

➢ Assist in the formulation of technology plans for Kent School
➢ Evaluate and provide analytical feedback to support integration or removal of all academic technology solutions.
➢ Lead end-user training for students, faculty, and staff. Provide workshops and training for faculty in education technology skills
➢ Support faculty in developing units, projectors or other education technology applications within their curriculum
➢ Identify and propose emerging technologies for use in curriculum, assessment and evaluation.
➢ Assist with technology needs at school events during the day or after hours.
➢ Create and maintain knowledge base articles.
➢ Lead the integration of new technology into the curriculum across various subjects and introduce new tools to increase student engagement.

➢ Be a collaborative member of the Technology department, supports the help desk and works with end-users to resolve escalated issues.

➢ Performs other duties as needed and assigned.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and work experience in related fields, preferably in an independent school setting. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in academic or educational technology is required. Prior teaching experience as a technology integrator, coordinator or comparable role is preferred..

➢ Possess the ability to coach, teach, and mentor.
➢ Demonstrate ability to plan, design, implement and evaluate professional development initiatives/programs.
➢ Possess excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
➢ Possess the ability to create and maintain positive and supportive relationships with faculty and administration, as well as create collaborative learning groups.
➢ Demonstrate familiarity with modern technology tools and services that have applications both inside and outside the classroom.
➢ Possess considerable knowledge of current and emerging technologies as well as new practices around technology use required.
➢ Demonstrate proficiency in Google Workspace, MacOs, and Windows.
➢ Show ability to quickly learn unfamiliar tools and share the information with a diverse group of people.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands listed below are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job:
➢ Must be able to work in an office environment.
➢ Must be able to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
➢ Requires substantial movement (motions) of wrists, hands, and fingers with keyboard use.
➢ Ability to use visual display..
➢ Ability to lift and transport up to 10 lbs. without assistance.

Additional Requirements:
➢ Successful completion of post-offer, pre-employment criminal background checks and drug test.
➢ Maintain punctual and regular attendance.
➢ Work is performed on a smoke free campus.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
