Full-time position. Monday - Friday 8 : 30 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m.
Kentucky Blood Center is seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Coordinator who will be responsible for performing administrative duties for the QA Department by managing and controlling critical documents and data.
Provides clerical support and adheres to standards and guidelines issued by regulatory and accrediting organizations such as FDA, AABB, CLIA, OSHA, State, and vendor short-supply agreements.
Reports to the Director of Quality Assurance.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Quality Assurance Department with administrative tasks as assigned.
- Assists with managing and controlling critical documents maintained by the Quality Assurance Department.
- Performs administrative and clerical support tasks for the department, as assigned, which includes but is not limited to : Processing of occurrence management records (numbering, copying, distributing, receiving, filing, boxing, archiving, etc.
prints supporting documentation for Investigations / Final QA Reviews.Processing mail, coordinating project / task assignments, and follow-up notifications.
Monthly reporting; organization of quality data for trend analysis.
- Assists with departmental audits as assigned.
- Coordinates process of Quality Assurance records to and from offsite storage.
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent with the appropriate combination of education and experience required; college degree or relevant clerical training, preferred.
- Two years administrative / clerical experience in a similar office environment. Exposure to quality control processes is preferred;
related medical / healthcare experience is a plus.
- MS Office (Outlook, Word, Access, Excel) and Adobe proficiency with the ability to navigate and perform data entry and reporting in web applications and custom systems.
- Multi-level communication skills, demonstrating a professional and courteous demeanor.
- Excellent work ethic, with a strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to prioritize work in a constantly changing environment; organizational skills are essential in this role.
- Works independently with excellent problem-solving skills, while also contributing to a positive team atmosphere.
