Production Team Lead - First Shift

Kentwood Powder Coat Inc. is an exciting, fast paced company that brings leading edge powder coating technology to the automotive, heavy industrial equipment, motorcycle and sporting industries. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Team Lead to join our team. As a Production Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the production process, scheduling, leading and developing employees. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and supervise production activities to ensure efficient and timely execution of customer orders
• Monitor the continuous powder production line and equipment to ensure proper function and assist in troubleshooting any issues that arise
• Ensure parts are masked, hung, painted and packed according to the standard operating procedure
• Train and mentor production team members on safety protocols and quality control measures
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production processes and improve overall efficiency
• Oversee inventory management, including tracking raw materials, monitoring stock levels, and communicating needs with other departments
• Maintain accurate production records and reports
• Help create the daily production schedule
• Assist on the production line, supporting the team to maintaining smooth process flow

Experience and Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment is required, minimum 2 years
• Proficiency in operating forklifts and other relevant equipment
• Ability to make decisions in a fast paced environment
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Ability to be on your feet for the shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
