Optician (Entry-level) - Dr. Gary Gold & Associates   General Job Description & Responsibilities   Are you interested in starting a new career in an exciting industry? Our practice is looking for a friendly and professtional customer service/sales associate to help patients select and order glasses and eyewear products. We are willing to train!! The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure that all patients are receiving the best quality of care at all times. Primary responsibilities include:   Review Physician’s prescriptions and orders based on medical charts Educate patients on their corrective lens options and help them make a choice that fits their medical needs as well as lifestyle preferences Provide honest but compassionate feedback about aesthetic choices in frames Achieve sales goals and quotas as determined by office staff while attending to patients’ specific needs and desires Communicate with physician with questions or concerns about prescriptions and other eye-related issues Perform adjustments and repairs of eyewear Place optical orders with a general understanding of insurance benefits Operate lensometer and other tools to achieve proper fitting Experience & Skills Excellent customer service skills and personal presentation are critical to this role.
